    Fundraising Year-End Support Lead

    Organization: H.Y.P.E. to Empower, Inc.

Position Type: Seasonal / Temporary (October–January)

    Reports To: Executive Director

    Location: Hybrid or Remote

    About H.Y.P.E. to Empower, Inc.

H.Y.P.E. to Empower, Inc. (Helping Young People to Excel) is a community-centered nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth through education, leadership, and personal development.

Our mission is to equip young people and families, and community members with the tools, confidence, and opportunities they need to become strong leaders and change-makers in their communities.

As we approach our Giving Tuesday–themed year-end celebration and fundraising event on December 13th, we are seeking a Fundraising Year-End Support Lead who will help drive excitement, engagement, and giving across all channels.

Our goal is to raise a minimum of $40,000 in sponsorships and secure at least 55 individual donors through this campaign, celebrating generosity, community, and impact in the spirit of Giving Tuesday, even though our event will take place later in December.

    Position Overview

The Fundraising Year-End Support Lead is responsible for helping H.Y.P.E. to Empower, Inc. finish the year strong by driving donations, community awareness, and engagement through creative and strategic campaigns.

This position focuses on three key pillars:

    1. Fundraising Campaigns (online & offline)
    2. Corporate and Business Outreach
    3. Creative Content Development (emails, graphics, and storytelling)

You’ll work closely with leadership to develop an inspiring, Giving Tuesday–inspired campaign that culminates in our December 13th event, ensuring every communication aligns with H.Y.P.E.’s mission to uplift and empower youth.

    Example:

Imagine leading a campaign titled “H.Y.P.E. for the Holidays: A Season to Give and Empower” — where you coordinate storytelling videos, social media posts, and sponsor spotlights that bring our mission to life and motivate the community to contribute toward the $40,000 goal.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Campaign Strategy & Execution

You’ll be the creative architect of our year-end Giving Tuesday–inspired campaign planning, launching, and managing online giving initiatives that encourage donations, shares, and event participation.

    Duties include:

    • Develop and manage a comprehensive campaign timeline from October through December.
    • Create and execute engaging social media campaigns (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok) featuring impact stories, donation drives, and event countdowns.
    • Coordinate Giving Tuesday–style promotions that highlight the spirit of generosity throughout the season.
    • Track analytics, engagement rates, and donations to measure success and optimize strategy.

    Example:

You might design a 10-day “Countdown to Impact” campaign with daily videos highlighting youth transformation stories, each post ending with a link to give or RSVP for the December 13th event.

    • Corporate & Community Outreach

The Lead will build and nurture relationships with local businesses, corporations, and community leaders to secure sponsorships and in-kind donations that directly contribute to our $40,000 goal.

    Duties include:

    • Identify and research potential corporate sponsors and community partners.
    • Develop sponsorship packets that clearly outline partnership levels, benefits, and recognition opportunities, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the benefits and opportunities available.
    • Draft compelling outreach emails and follow-up correspondence.
    • Maintain an organized tracking system for sponsor commitments, payments, and engagement in a CRM or spreadsheet.
    • Collaborate with leadership to design creative recognition opportunities for sponsors during and after the event.

    Example:

You can contact a local retailer to sponsor $2,500 toward event materials in exchange for logo placement on marketing materials and a featured spot in our Giving Tuesday campaign posts.

    • Creative Communications & Donor Engagement

Your creativity will turn donor outreach into storytelling that inspires generosity and emotional connection. You’ll help donors and sponsors see the impact of their giving through design and communication.

    Duties include:

    • Create branded emails, social graphics, flyers, and donor packets that visually represent H.Y.P.E.’s mission.
    • Develop and manage email series (e.g., “Save the Date,” “Your Gift in Action,” and “Final Push to $40K”).
    • Maintain consistent voice and design across all platforms.
    • Assist with donor thank-you notes, acknowledgments, and post-event updates.

    Example:

You might design an email titled “Empower 55 Futures One Gift at a Time” featuring youth testimonials, photos, and a “Donate Today” button that links directly to our fundraising page.

    • Collaboration & Coordination

You’ll work closely with H.Y.P.E.’s Executive Director, staff, and volunteers to ensure campaign efforts remain aligned, organized, and impactful.

    Duties include:

    • Host weekly campaign check-ins to review progress and next steps.
    • Track metrics related to sponsorships, donor engagement, and campaign reach.
    • Coordinate communication between marketing, fundraising, and event planning teams.
    • Support logistics for the December 13th event, including sponsor recognition, visuals, and donor engagement.

    Example:

You may coordinate with volunteers to create a live “Donor Wall” during the December 13th event, displaying updated totals toward our $40,000 goal, motivating attendees to contribute in real-time.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in fundraising, marketing, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).

    Preferred Yet Not Required Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years of nonprofit fundraising, corporate partnership development, or campaign management.
    • Proven success in managing digital fundraising or social media engagement campaigns.
    • Experience using donor management systems, CRMs, or design tools like Canva, Mailchimp, or Bloomerang.

    Skills:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication.
    • Strong graphic design and storytelling ability.
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and goal-focused.
    • Comfortable with outreach, networking, and sponsor cultivation.

    Example:

A strong candidate may have led a Giving Tuesday campaign that exceeded donation goals through creative storytelling and consistent donor engagement across social media and email platforms.

    Personal Attributes

    • Creative Communicator: You know how to craft stories that inspire generosity.
    • Goal-Oriented: You thrive on achieving clear outcomes like raising $40,000 and securing 55 donors.
    • Relationship Builder: You confidently engage with corporate partners and community leaders.
    • Mission-Driven: You’re passionate about youth empowerment and giving back to the community.

    Example:

You can easily translate H.Y.P.E.’s mission into a compelling pitch that resonates with both individual donors and corporate sponsors, making them excited to contribute and be part of the cause.

    Compensation and Duration

    • Duration: October–January (approx. 10–12 weeks)
    • Pay Range: Competitive; based on experience and project scope.
    • Schedule: Flexible; must be available during campaign milestones, Giving Tuesday promotions, and the December 13th event.
    • Incentives: Performance-based bonuses for exceeding fundraising and donor goals.
