Description
CASA Volunteers in Suffolk or Nassau County work directly with families that have matters before Family Court. CASAs provide best-interest advocacy for the children in these family court matters, visit with the children regularly, support the family in obtaining resources and meeting court mandates, work collaboratively with Child and Family Services, and provide regular reports to the family court judge. CASAs also document their advocacy efforts in the program's case management system. Professional training of 36 hours pre-service. (Bilingual skills highly needed.)
