Description
The Volunteer Chaplain is to provide spiritual care support and on-call coverage to meet the spiritual needs of patients, family and/or significant others. They will be supervised by the Bereavement Coordinator and Hospice Chaplains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respectfully visit assigned patients at their homes or care facilities at communicated times.
- May preside over grief support groups or memorial services when requested.
- Provide confidential, non-judgmental and compassionate spiritual care for all ages in a religiously and culturally diverse environment.
- Document all visits on volunteer logs.
- Communicate issues and concerns to Hospice Services and Volunteer Coordinator.
