    Volunteer abroad, to teach English overseas with OpenmindProjects. We are a nonprofit NGO, charity in Thailand, Southeast Asia, dedicated to help poor youth to learn English and other important skills to get a better job.

    Poor youth in Thailand and SE Asia need help to learn English to get a good job. Make a difference in a poor student’s life!

    Volunteer with OpenmindProjects, an opportunity to make the difference. No teaching experience is required. Open start dates.
    • Volunteers of all ages are welcome!
    • Families with children make great and inspiring volunteers!
    • This opportunity is suitable for you if you like to help, teach and work with an NGO, non-profit.
    • You can volunteer in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Nepal. Hybrid/online opportunities too.
    OpenmindProjects volunteers complement school education.
    • You practice English with migrant, ethnic minority, disabled and village students.
    • You inspire, build confidence and make learning English fun and engaging through conversation, role plays, games, searching online, making presentations and short videos.
    • You can help make English lessons. Take part in special events, workshops.
    • You can also help new volunteers and perform other duties as we agree.
    We help you
    • Before you come, we send you a Volunteer Handbook, with volunteer, teach, culture and travel advice, even some local language help.
    • On arrival, we introduce you to our volunteer work, hosts, teachers and students. We work together.
    • After volunteering, on request we are happy to send you a Volunteer Certificate or Letter of Reference.
    About you
    • Good written and verbal English.
    • Self-motivated, curious, openminded and like to help other less fortunate
    • Interested in working with a non-profit and people of different nationalities.
    • You can decide for how long you want to volunteer.
    • You commit at least 3-4 hours during weekdays. However, if you only have a few hours per month and would still like to volunteer, there may be a role for you, ask us.
