    Description

BIFF is searching for someone to work with our current volunteer manager to learn the ropes this season and then take over this key role next season. (We are hoping for a three+ year commitment.)

The Volunteer Manager recruits and trains BIFF volunteers and staff, works closely with our senior management team, creates volunteer newsletters, updates key documents and training materials and much more. The person in this role needs to be very comfortable with technology, spreadsheets, databases and needs to be quick to learn new/unfamiliar technology. The role will begin ASAP and runs through the end of April 2027. Hours fluctuate throughout the season ranging from 10-30+ hours a week. You must be available for key dates including the entire month leading up to the festival for the entire festival.

Our ideal candidate is upbeat and has experience working with volunteers in a leadership role, is self-directed and organized, enjoys people, views the non-profit festival environment as fun and exciting, and has flexibility in their schedule. There is a stipend with the role (it is not paid hourly.) Keep in mind, while it is a paid role, there is an element of "volunteer spirit" to being the BIFF Volunteer Manager!

You must be located in Boulder or a nearby surrounding area and able to attend in-person meetings in Boulder during weekdays and some evenings/weekends (this is not a remote role.) Please know this role would be very difficult for someone who has a full-time work commitment given the need to ramp up hours at various times and to attend meetings in-person during the weekday.

As the current BIFF Volunteer Manager, I can tell you this is a really fun role working with incredible people! Please send us a resume and/or a description of your relevant experience to megand@biff1.com and let us know why this sounds like a perfect role for you! We can provide more detailed information about the role and key dates during the interview process.
