Are you looking for a simple, meaningful way to brighten someone’s week? A warm and friendly older adult living in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood is looking for a volunteer driver to help them attend a weekly community program.
Every other week, they choose one day to go Wallingford Community Center, where they participate in activities that keep them connected, active, and engaged. Your help will make a big difference in their ability to stay independent and involved.
Volunteer Services is a program of Catholic Community Services that assists low-income older adults and adults living with disabilities. Volunteers can assist with Transportation i.e., medical appointments, grocery shopping, and Personal errands. With a little help from volunteers, clients can continue to live independently in their homes.
Due to the vulnerable population we serve, volunteers must complete an application form, pass a Washington State Patrol check, and attend an orientation.
For more information about this opportunity or others, please select the "I Want to Volunteer/Help" button. An email will be sent to you with additional information regarding our program and the online application forms. For more information, call 206.328.5787 or email vc@ccsww.org.
