Mission brief;
The Website Manager is responsible for overseeing the organisation’s website performance, content management, functionality, user experience, and digital presence. The role ensures the website is updated, optimised, secure, visually appealing, and aligned with the organization’s brand and business objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities.
- Manage and maintain the company website, ensuring functionality, accuracy, and responsiveness.
- Update website content, including text, images, blogs, products, services, and announcements.
- Coordinate website design improvements and user experience enhancements.
- Monitor website performance, traffic, SEO rankings, and analytics.
- Ensure website security, backups, and compliance with data privacy policies.
- Work closely with marketing, sales, HR, and other departments to support digital campaigns and organizational goals.
- Coordinate with web developers, designers, and external vendors when necessary.
- Optimize website speed, mobile responsiveness, and search engine visibility.
- Troubleshoot website issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Manage domain, hosting, plugins, integrations, and CMS platforms.
- Create and maintain landing pages for campaigns, promotions, or events.
- Ensure brand consistency across all website pages and digital platforms.
- Monitor competitor websites and recommend improvements or innovations.
- Prepare periodic website performance and analytics reports.
In addition to the above, the Website Manager may be given such other duties as the Management may deem necessary.
Education Qualifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Proven experience in website management or digital content management.
- Knowledge of CMS platforms such as WordPress and Wix.
- Understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, and digital marketing principles.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website troubleshooting is an added advantage.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and content coordination abilities.
- Creative eye for design and user experience.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
