The Arthritis Foundation Indiana is seeking enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to support the Walk to Cure Arthritis on May 15 at Conner Prairie. This signature community event brings together more than 500 participants to raise awareness and funds to support people living with arthritis.
Volunteers play a vital role in creating a welcoming, organized, and inspiring experience for walkers, sponsors, and families.
Volunteer Responsibilities
Volunteer roles may include:
- Event setup and breakdown
- Registration and check-in support
- Route marshaling and participant guidance
- Water station and refreshment support
- Finish-line and celebration area assistance
- Greeting participants and providing general event support
Assignments will be based on event needs and volunteer preferences.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old (or accompanied by an adult)
- Friendly, dependable, and able to work in a team environment
- Willingness to assist with light physical activity (standing, walking, lifting small items)
- Ability to follow instructions and support a positive event atmosphere
- Passion for community service and helping others
No prior event experience required.
