After School Program Tutor

Hope for Harvest Youth Center is seeking dedicated volunteer tutors for our After-School Enrichment Program beginning Tuesday, September 8. The program operates every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Volunteer tutors will support students with homework, reading, math, and other academic subjects while helping them build confidence, strengthen study habits, and reach their educational goals. Tutors should be patient, encouraging, dependable, and passionate about empowering underserved youth.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing one-on-one or small-group academic support
• Assisting students with homework and assignments
• Reinforcing reading, math, and study skills
• Encouraging positive behavior and active participation
• Serving as a supportive mentor and role model
• Maintaining a safe, respectful, and welcoming learning environment

Previous tutoring or teaching experience is helpful but not required. Volunteers must be willing to follow Hope for Harvest’s policies and complete all required volunteer screening and onboarding procedures.
