About Us
The Wayland Museum & Historical Society preserves and shares the history of Wayland, Massachusetts — from its indigenous roots through the present day. We operate the historic Grout-Heard House, maintain a growing collection of artifacts and archival materials, and develop public programming that connects community members to the people and places that shaped this town. We are a small, active organization with big ambitions, and our volunteer Board of Managers is central to everything we do.
The Role
Board members provide governance, strategic direction, and hands-on support for the museum's work. This is a working board and members are expected to be engaged partners in advancing the organization's mission, not just attendees at meetings.
