Volunteer with We Are Artistic at the Best Buddies Friendship Walk in DC

We are seeking volunteers to support our card‑making activity for kids in hospitals at the Best Buddies Friendship Walk on Sunday, April 25th, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the National Mall in Washington, DC/

The different roles are:

Activity Assistant:

• Guide participants (especially kids!) as they create handmade cards filled with love and encouragement.
• Ensure appropriateness by reviewing cards for respectful, inclusive, and uplifting messages.
• Encourage creativity while offering gentle support and inspiration to card-makers of all ages.

Welcome Ambassadors:

• Greet guests with warmth and enthusiasm as they arrive
• Chat with attendees about our mission and the impact we’re making
• Encourage folks to participate in our card-making activity; no art skills are required, just kindness, high energy, and a welcoming attitude.

Photographer:

• Take group shots, action shots, and photos of guests holding their handmade cards
• Focus on capturing smiles, interactions, and the spirit of the event
• Text your best shots to Edie before you leave (you can get her number from any booth lead)
