    Description

Aspen Hospice and Palliative Care is seeking College volunteers for summer and fall 2026

Make a real difference in someone’s life! Gain real life experience.

Aspen Hospice and Palliative Care is looking for compassionate volunteers willing to donate their time to provide exceptional end-of-life care to Local hospice patients and their families.

Aspen Hospice is ideal for people considering a future career in healthcare and who would like to volunteer to gain experience.

We are also open to interns. Some examples include:

      • BSN nursing students who need leadership experience
      • Chaplain students who need real life application
      • Volunteer Management interns / HR
      • BSW/MSW social work interns,
      • other programs involving patient care

Contact us with a description of your program and your internship request that we can consider.

Aspen Hospice and Palliative Care will provide free volunteer training to prepare you as a Volunteer for the opportunity to make a difference in someone's life and receive more in return than you give.

We serve patients and their families in the Hill Country area including the greater Bexar County.

Nursing and social worker students needed to visit with hospice patients and provide increased stimulation, engagement, companionship, and socialization. Learn more about hospice care while making a positive difference in the life of a patient. This is a great way to work towards your nursing or social work goals, gain experience, increase in the field diagnosis skills, develop your non-verbal communication skills, and learn more about terminal diseases and the impact it has on a person's life. We can help you work towards your volunteer goals and course requirements!
