    Description

    Help seniors in your community by delivering a hot meal and smile with Lake Wales Care Center's Meals on Wheels.

    Delivering meals is more than providing nutrition. You are warm smile and maybe the only person the client will see all day long! You are a safety net in the fight against social isolation.

    Volunteers pick up Meals on Wheels food from AdventHealth Lake Wales at 410 S 11th St, Lake Wales, FL 33853.

    You use your own automobile (insurance required) to deliver meals in the Lake Wales and Greater Lake Wales area.. This is a 3 hour commitment. You select the days that fit your schedule.

    There are 6 unique routes delivered Monday through Friday. Volunteers return to AdventHealth Lake Wales upon completion of their route to return meal coolers and any additional items.

    • Days/times volunteers needed: Monday through Friday, 10:00am – 1:00pm
    • Walking, driving, minor lifting of coolers, closed-toe shoes.
    • Mileage reimbursement for daily miles driven exceeding 25 miles.
