    Description

    Graphic Designer (Volunteer)

Future Arts / Future Arts Way 2026

    Start: Immediate

    No Duration: Through November 2026

Future Arts is a women-led nonprofit working at the intersection of art, technology, and community. We are currently producing Future Arts Way: Other Earth 2026, a 2.5-mile augmented reality cultural corridor launching in downtown Seattle during the FIFA World Cup.

We are seeking a Graphic Designer to help bring our visual presence to life across digital and physical platforms. We already have an established brand book and design system. We are looking for support in applying it across a wide range of assets.

    Responsibilities

    • Create social media graphics and campaign visuals
    • Design advertising materials for both print and digital
    • Develop banners, flyers, and marketing assets for event and workshops
    • Support wayfinding and accessibility graphical needs and make suggestions (maps, signage, transportation)
    • Maintain visual consistency across all outputs

    Ideal Candidate

    • Strong eye for clean, compelling design
    • Attention to detail and not reliant fully on AI
    • Able to work within an existing brand system
    • Comfortable with quick turnarounds and iteration
    • Interest in art, technology, and community storytelling
    • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and similar tools

    Details

    • Volunteer role (stipend potential based on funding)
    • Flexible schedule, ~5–10 hours per week
    • Opportunity to have your work seen during a major cultural moment in Seattle’s history during the 2026 World Cup

This is a chance to contribute to a highly visible, city-wide project that centers Indigenous, Afrocentric, and community-rooted storytelling through art and technology.

To apply: send portfolio + a short note of interest.
