    We are an intergenerational project. Children younger than 17 should be accompanied by an adult. ABSOLUTELY NO PETS. No running in the garden. You can bring you compost drop off. There is no fee but we do welcome donations.

    Kelly Street Garden Welcomes Volunteers for the 2026 Season

    Starting in April 2026 until October we welcome those of you who wish to have the opportunity to put your hands in the soil. Kelly Street Garden is located in the South Bronx and close to public transportation. Our open hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 11 am - 3 pm. We are a food and environmental justice project. We have our own herbal apothecary onsite and all volunteers are invited to share in the harvest (July - October) Join us for Soil Therapy and learn what it means to be in community while learning through doing. Saturday volunteers can also join some of the many workshops we have during the season.

    We are on Kelly Street at 924 down the stairs to the left of the building. 2 or 5 train to Intervale or 6 train to Longwood Avenue. Most ays we have a sign up on the sidewalk.

    If you are bring children, please let us know. there are some safety concerns, especially no running. Come dressed to get dirty. We have enough gloves and tools but if you wish you can bring your own.
