Description
Bring comfort, companionship, and a listening ear to patients and families during one of life's most important journeys. As a Hospice Companion Volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by visiting patients in their homes or facilities, offering support through presence, conversation, reading, music, or simply sitting quietly with them.
What You'll Do:
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Read, share stories, or listen to music together
- Offer a comforting presence to patients and their families
- Assist with light activities as appropriate (non-medical)
What We're Looking For:
- Compassionate, dependable individuals with a heart for service
- Good communication and listening skills
- Respectful of confidentiality and diverse backgrounds
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must complete volunteer training and background screening
