    Description

    Volunteer near you in 75287

Seeking volunteers to sit with patients and provide friendship and companionship. We offer open availability and close to your location. Our goal is 1-2 hours per week, every week, no travel except to and from volunteer location. No hands on care.

Patients in this season of life, need support and someone to be present with them. We make ourselves available to read, watch TV, play a game, go for a walk (or push a wheelchair), and many other fun things. Some patients like to garden, talk about their pets, play with the pets, laugh and be a part of something other than their condition. You can be that person making a difference for them, with an opportunity valued for years to come.

How to Volunteer for This Opportunity

    Send Email

I will send you an application, once completed we will meet for coffee and an hour or so interview. There will be at home Orientation, submit a TB test, drug screening, and background check (all paid by our company). Once those reports are received, we will meet for finalization of Orientation and training. taking about 1-2 hours. Once we have a patient in your preferred area, we will go and meet the patient together and then you will provide documentation of your visit. You will need to make arrangements that are agreeable to you and the patient. Building the relationship may take a few visits, but it will happen.
