Description
The Spectrum Circle Coordinator(s) help support the planning and facilitation of a monthly autism support group at College Hill Library for those on the spectrum and their allies.
Working in collaboration with library staff, the coordinator(s) help organize and deliver a group activity each month (including crafts, games and book discussion), lead discussion about things like sensory aids for the library space, encourage group connection and support, and ensure meetings run smoothly. This volunteer position is ideal for someone passionate about community building, accessibility, and creating supportive spaces for neurodivergent individuals.
- Assist with planning and facilitating monthly Spectrum Circle meetings
- Collaborate with participants to help shape rotating activities and topics
- Support a respectful, inclusive, and sensory-aware group environment
- Help with basic room setup, activity materials, and clean-up
- Communicate with library staff regarding schedules, attendance, and program needs
- Model and reinforce group guidelines that promote safety, respect, and belonging
