    Vet to Vet Hospice Volunteer: Dallas Metro

    Are you a veteran and want to help support other vets at the end of life?

    Veterans at the end of life deserve the best kind of support from someone who understands! Become a Vet to Vet volunteer with GOOD SHEPHERD HOSPICE! Vet to Vet volunteers spend time with hospice and palliative care patients in the patient's home. Some activities may include:

    • Reading, playing music, or watching TV with the patient
    • Providing temporary respite care for a veteran's family
    • Listening, telling stories or being a comforting presence
    • Light household tasks or errand running
    • Pet care
    • Assisting patients or their caregivers with things like snack preparation
