    Description

We are looking for volunteers to join our highly impactful Choice Mentor Program, assisting 5th and 8th-grade scholars with the independent school application process.

In addition to application support, our Choice Program provides test prep, an independent school fair, financial aid support and interview support for our students and families.

As a Choice Mentor, you will act as a sounding board and advocate for your mentee and family throughout the independent school application process, providing your mentee with essay writing and application support. Peninsula Bridge offers comprehensive mentor support training, weekly office hours and resources every step of the way. The time commitment is approximately one (60-90 minute) meeting per week from late August 2026 through January 2027. The mentor sets the schedule directly with the mentee.

Please sign up to be a mentor here. If you have any questions about the mentor role, please contact Randi Shafton at randi@peninsulabridge.org.

If you have any questions about the application process, please contact Karen Zamora at karen@peninsulabridge.org. The Peninsula Bridge training will take place on August 25th at 1 pm at the Peninsula Bridge office.

Thank you in advance for your support! This is a very meaningful way to mentor and support a Peninsula Bridge scholar.

    Warmly,

    Randi Shafton
