Description
Become a Grocery Shopper for NESA seniors! Volunteers are needed to grocery shop for homebound seniors, ensuring they have access to the nutrition they need and the social interaction they adore. NESA serves senior clients who live in northeast San Antonio. It's just like helping a family member!
- Volunteer Grocery Shoppers call their NESA senior once they accept a shopping request.
- Grocery Shoppers discuss the client's shopping list and collect information about product type, brand, size, etc.
- Please note: Some clients are mobile; it is the Grocery Shopper's decision on whether you have enough time to take the client along to the store.
- Grocery Shoppers purchase groceries, deliver the groceries, and are reimbursed immediately by the client.
- Grocery Shoppers are reimbursed for mileage after submitting a mileage log.
- Opportunities depend on the volunteer's schedule and the client's need.
