    Green Empowerment for Development (GEFD) is a newly established non-profit organization based in Yemen. We are dedicated to sustainable development, environmental protection, and community empowerment. Our mission is to create lasting impact through innovative environmental initiatives and inclusive development projects.

    Role Description

    We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Volunteer Grant Researcher to join our growing team. The primary goal of this role is to identify and analyze funding opportunities, grants, and strategic partnerships that align with our mission. This position is vital for building the financial foundation of GEFD.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Strategic Research: Identify potential grant opportunities from international foundations, NGOs, government agencies, and corporate donors.
    • Eligibility Assessment: Review grant guidelines and criteria to ensure alignment with GEFD projects and organizational goals.
    • Database Management: Maintain and update a "Grant Calendar" or database including deadlines, requirements, and donor contact information.
    • Trend Analysis: Monitor funding trends in the humanitarian and environmental sectors, specifically those focused on Yemen and the MENA region.
    • Reporting: Provide weekly updates to the Director on high-priority funding opportunities.

    Qualifications

    • Excellent research and analytical skills.
    • Strong command of the English language (written and verbal) to understand complex donor requirements.
    • Proficiency in using Google Sheets/Excel for data organization.
    • Previous experience in grant research or non-profit development is a plus but not required.
    • Passion for environmental sustainability and humanitarian work.
