Description
GreenePets Foster Network is seeking dependable Volunteer Dog Caretaker Aides to assist with the daily care, cleaning, and upkeep needed to maintain a safe, sanitary environment for dogs in our care.
Responsibilities may include cleaning and disinfecting kennels, washing and sanitizing food and water bowls, changing bedding, sweeping and mopping, organizing supplies, refreshing water, assisting with feeding, and helping maintain clean exercise and work areas. Volunteers may also assist with dogs as appropriate based on their experience and comfort level.
This is hands-on work. Volunteers should be comfortable around dogs, willing to get dirty or wet, able to follow sanitation and safety procedures, and capable of completing physical tasks such as standing, bending, carrying supplies, and working both indoors and outdoors.

Experience with dogs, kennels, animal rescue, veterinary care, grooming, cleaning, or animal handling is helpful but not required.
Most importantly, we need volunteers who show up when they say they will, take the work seriously, and understand that clean facilities are an essential part of good animal care.
