    Description

    Role Overview

    We’re looking for a volunteer Backend Developer to help build and maintain a web project. This is a great opportunity to gain experience, contribute to a real-world application, and collaborate with a team.

    Responsibilities

    1. Develop and maintain backend features using Python and Django
    2. Build REST APIs with Django REST Framework (DRF)
    3. Work with PostgreSQL and Django ORM
    4. Implement authentication (JWT, OAuth2, or Django AllAuth)
    5. Ensure proper data validation, serialization, and API security
    6. Test APIs using Pytest/ Unittest and tools like Postman

    Requirements

    1. Basic to intermediate experience with Python and Django
    2. Understanding of RESTful APIs and backend development concepts
    3. Familiarity with authentication, databases, and API security
    4. Willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute consistently

    Nice to Have

    1. Experience with deployment, Docker, or cloud platforms
    2. Interest in open-source or collaborative projects
