Description
WSPEC, a global non-profit, is accelerating the realization of a space elevator through targeted STEAM competitions. We are looking for a creative writer to bring our mission to life through compelling storytelling. You will be the voice of WSPEC, crafting everything from punchy social media captions to deep-dive newsletter features. Your words will capture the excitement of our competitions, translating complex science into a compelling narrative that inspires our global community.
What You'll Do:
- Write and publish content for a variety of channels that explore topics in space technology, profile our talented competitors, and explain the science behind the space elevator.
- Develop and write articles for our monthly newsletter.
- Collaborate with the entire WSPEC team to find and develop powerful stories from within our community.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience as a writer, journalist, or content creator, for a public audience.
- Exceptional storytelling skills, with a talent for making complex subjects entertaining and understandable.
- Editing and proofreading abilities with a command of grammar and style.
- A genuine passion for space exploration, technology, and STEAM education.
