Dogtoberfest!

Help us create a fun, welcoming, and tail-wagging experience for guests and their four-legged friends at Dogtoberfest!

Dogtoberfest takes place on Saturdays and Sundays from October 10 through November 1, with three volunteer roles and three different shift times to choose from, all scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Volunteers can select the role and shift that works best for them.

Volunteers will be assigned where support is needed most within their selected role. Greeter & Wayfinder volunteers may welcome guests, provide directions, answer questions, assist at the photo opportunity, or accompany Terri the Squirrel as they mingle with guests. Human VIP Experience volunteers may help with pretzel necklace activities, competitions and games, answer questions, and help keep VIP seating areas organized. Dog VIP Experience volunteers may assist with serving dog-friendly “beer,” help keep the VIP experience running smoothly, and monitor the dog pools to help ensure these areas remain safe, clean, and enjoyable. Volunteers may also be provided with a spray bottle for occasional light clean-up throughout the event.

Whether you’re welcoming guests, supporting VIP activities, helping our canine guests have a great time, or keeping the event running smoothly, your enthusiasm and helpful spirit will play an important role in making Dogtoberfest memorable for everyone, both two- and four-legged!

Volunteer Requirements:

• Basic Training is not required for this event.
• All volunteers must be 15 years of age or older to volunteer in the Garden.
• Each volunteer must create their own account and register independently; volunteers may not register on behalf of another individual.
