Meals on Wheels: Deliver Meals and a Smile in Burien!

Looking for a volunteer opportunity that is fun and rewarding? Join our Volunteer team! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping older adults who are homebound maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.

Alternate Driver: We are looking for two volunteer to deliver meals Wednesday mornings, as needed. Delivery Drivers arrive at our site in Burien to pick up meals around 10:30am, and deliveries typically take 1 – 1.5 hours. Drive client meal orders to their homes, providing clients with nutrition as well as a moment of invaluable face-to-face contact. When you deliver a meal, you’re a reminder that someone cares.

This position would be on an occasional basis, filling in when one of weekly drivers is away. Mileage is reimbursable while making deliveries. We are looking for volunteers who are interested in volunteering long term.
