At TruHeart Hospice, we believe every life deserves to be honored with dignity, compassion, and presence. Our volunteers play a vital role in providing comfort, companionship, and support to patients and their families during one of life’s most meaningful journeys.
As a hospice volunteer, you may:
- Provide companionship to patients through conversation, reading, music, or simply being present
- Offer respite support to caregivers, giving them time to rest and recharge
- Assist with light administrative tasks or office support (if preferred)
- Participate in special programs such as veteran recognition or bereavement support
- Create meaningful moments—whether that’s holding a hand, sharing a story, or sitting in quiet presence
We’re looking for individuals who are:
- Compassionate, empathetic, and dependable
- Comfortable being present with individuals facing serious illness
- Good listeners with a heart for service
- Respectful of diverse beliefs, cultures, and end-of-life experiences
- Able to commit to consistent volunteer visits (flexible scheduling available)
No medical experience is required—just a caring heart.
We provide:
- Comprehensive hospice volunteer training (including end-of-life care education)

- Flexible scheduling to fit your availability

Time Commitment:
- Flexible: typically 1–4 hours per week
- Opportunities available weekdays, evenings, and weekends
