Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and results-driven SEO Specialist to improve the visibility, discoverability, and performance of our digital platforms. The ideal candidate will develop and execute SEO strategies that increase organic traffic, enhance search engine rankings, and ensure our website effectively reaches donors, volunteers, partners, and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive on-page and off-page SEO strategies.
- Conduct keyword research aligned with our programs, campaigns, and nonprofit initiatives.
- Optimize website content, landing pages, blog articles, and program pages for search engines.
- Perform technical SEO audits and collaborate with developers to resolve issues affecting website performance.
- Monitor website health, crawl-ability, indexing, and Core Web Vitals.
- Optimize metadata, headings, URLs, internal linking, schema markup, and image SEO.
- Create and maintain XML sitemaps and robots.txt files.
- Monitor and improve website performance using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and other SEO tools.
- Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, conversions, and engagement metrics.
- Collaborate with content writers, designers, developers, and marketing teams to ensure SEO best practices are followed.
- Identify backlink opportunities and support digital outreach initiatives.
- Stay updated with search engine algorithm changes and recommend improvements.
- Prepare monthly SEO performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in Search Engine Optimization.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page SEO, and content optimization.
- Experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and Bing Webmaster Tools.
- Familiarity with SEO platforms such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or Screaming Frog.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms such as WordPress.
- Experience optimizing website speed, mobile usability, and Core Web Vitals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
