    Description

Unarmed Civilian Protection in Palestine (UCPiP), is a Palestinian and International co-led organization working to resist forced displacement in the West Bank by placing unarmed civilian protectors directly in Palestinian villages. UCPiP responds to invitations directly from communities throughout the West Bank. Our ultimate goal is to put 100 civilian protectors in the West Bank, and, when conditions allow, expend our work to Gaza.

At the moment, we have a pilot project consisting of a seven person cohort deployed in the West Bank, providing direct, nonviolent protection in the face of extreme settler and state violence. We are looking for dedicated prospect researcher(s) to work side-by-side with our grant writer and head of mission to help us find institutional donors so that we can expand our networks of protection and reach our goal of 100 civilian protectors as soon as we can.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience: At least one year of experience in a research-intensive role, preferably within a nonprofit or higher education fundraising environment.
    • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to evaluate large amounts of data, identify patterns, and draw actionable insights and recommendations.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
    • Qualities: Ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently, and demonstrate self-motivated initiative

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Proactively provide thorough research, identifying potential grant opportunities and institutional donors
    • Assess the compatibility of our organization with different institutional donors and grant opportunities, and provide realistic and actionable recommendations
    • Evaluate and synthesize large volumes of information into concise insights
    • Work as a team with our grantwriter, heads of mission, and volunteer team.
