You have the chance to provide hope and dignity to those who are homeless or struggling to make ends meet and don’t have the resources for a haircut. Whether it’s helping someone feel confident for a job interview or simply showing that they matter, your skills can truly brighten someone’s day.

Time Commitment:

• You can pick one shift a month or choose to do more, based on your schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Give haircuts to people who are currently experiencing homelessness or are living on a tight budget, including clients at various Interfaith programs (like Recuperative Care, Recovery & Wellness, and Transitional Housing).
• Take the time to discuss styles that suit their features and preferences.
• Listen to what clients want and be open to their ideas.
• Approach each interaction with patience and understanding.
• Keep your work area clean and organized, ensuring a safe and healthy space.

Qualifications:

• You should have completed a barber or cosmetology program and be working toward your license.
• A clean background check is required.
• You should feel comfortable working with a diverse range of individuals.
• It’s important to bring empathy, kindness, and respect into every interaction.
