    Board of Directors: Advisors and community stakeholders.

    As a board member of Desire to Inspire Ministries, you’ll play a vital role in shaping programs that change lives. You’ll use your professional skills, compassion, and community connections to help our organization grow sustainably and continue to serve those in need.

    Board Member Expectations

    Each board member agrees to:

    • Attend monthly board meetings from October 2025 through December 2025 during our growth and planning phase, and then transition to quarterly meetings beginning January 2026.
    • Serve a minimum one-year term (renewable).
    • Support fundraising and partnership efforts.
    • Advocate for DTI’s mission in your community.
    • Offer skills or expertise (finance, marketing, event planning, counseling, etc.) to advance our programs.
    • Participate in at least one program or annual event each year.
    • Provide an annual financial contribution to help sustain programs and show commitment to our mission.

    Position/Key Responsibilities

    Board Chair

    Oversees all board activities, presides over meetings, ensures mission alignment, supports the Executive Director.

    Vice Chair

    Assists the Chair, helps with strategic planning, steps in when the Chair is unavailable.

    Secretary

    Keeps records of meetings, maintains bylaws, oversees organizational documentation.

    Treasurer

    Oversees financial accountability, budget planning, and reporting.

    Program Development Chair

    Helps evaluate and improve program delivery; supports volunteer coordination.

    Community Outreach Chair

    Builds partnerships with local businesses, schools, and faith-based organizations.

    Fundraising & Events Chair

    Leads sponsorships, donor relations, and annual fundraising campaigns.

    Youth & Family Engagement Chair

    Connects youth initiatives and family programs to community resources.
