    Description

    The AARP DC State Office is currently looking build our Volunteer Community Outreach Team to support distribution of information to older adults as they age! (*You must live in the District of Columbia*)

    Community Outreach Ward Liaison, you will help table events and/or assist with information distribution at housing buildings, social service organizations, and faith-based organizations. Our aim is to raise awareness about the following resources:

    Caregiving Supports

    Social Security Benefits

    Fraud Prevention

    Advocacy Action Opportunities

    In addition to resource distribution, you'll have an opportunity to collect stories highlighting senior needs and assist with our advocacy priorities. This may include attending community meetings and taking action on senior issues.

    To become a familiar face in the community, we ask you to commit to a minimum of 2 hours per month, including OCCASIONAL team calls (attend as you can).
