The Transgender Health & Wellness Center (TH&WC) is dedicated to improving the lives of transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse individuals through health, wellness, advocacy, education, and community support.

Opportunity Summary

We are seeking compassionate, dependable volunteers who want to make a meaningful difference in their community. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are passionate about LGBTQ+ equity, community engagement, advocacy, and supporting the well-being of transgender and gender-diverse individuals.

Whether you're a longtime volunteer or getting involved for the first time, we welcome your interest and enthusiasm. No prior outreach experience is required. Training, guidance, and ongoing support will be provided.

Volunteer Responsibilities

Volunteer opportunities may include:

• Representing TH&WC at community events, resource fairs, and outreach activities
• Sharing educational materials, resources, and information about available services
• Supporting volunteer recruitment and community engagement efforts
• Building relationships with local organizations, businesses, and service providers
• Assisting with special events throughout the year, including Trans Pride, TransGiving, wellness programs, community celebrations, and outreach initiatives
• Helping community members connect with affirming resources and support services
• Providing administrative and outreach support as needed
• Serving as an ambassador for inclusivity, dignity, and community empowerment

Qualifications

We're looking for people who are:

• Passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ communities
• Friendly, respectful, and compassionate
• Dependable and committed to maintaining confidentiality
• Comfortable interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
• Willing to learn and work collaboratively as part of a team
• Interested in strengthening their community through service

Previous volunteer, outreach, healthcare, social service, or advocacy experience is helpful but not required.

Training and ongoing support will be provided.
