We have anonymous matching donation of $90k, if we can reach the full matched amount we can get construction going in 2025 and finally make this unique project a reality. The plan is to promote this so that we can reach the full amount, this will involve creating a fundraiser and sharing it with influencers, other non profits, etc;.

Sanctuary Hostel is an innovative nonprofit startup with the goal of creating an eco-hostel that supports community-based animal welfare, to address the stray animal crisis in Mexico. Our model plans to be self-sustaining in that we will not rely solely on donations and thus not be at risk of returning animals to the streets. We have the land and architectural designs, and are currently fundraising for construction of the facility. Volunteer Role Summary:

Make contact with organizations to ask if they are interested in partnering with us, donating, or promoting our fundraiser. We do have a list of non profits, for profits, influencers etc; that we are interested in contacting.

We need a lot of help and therefore we are seeking experienced leaders to donate at least four hours a week for at least 6 months to tackle this ambitious and important work. Candidates with Startup experience or experience dealing with ambiguity and building from scratch highly preferred.

Volunteer Primary Responsibilities:

• Identify and open conversations with international NGOs that complement our mission.
• Contact for profit business such as construction material businesses to ask for donations or discounts
• Keep a shared tracker of contacts, touch points and next steps so we can see progress in real time
• Introduce us via bilingual email, social media messages or virtual calls, then hand off warm leads to our team
• Act as an ambassador on behalf of Sanctuary Hostel
