    Organization: Tenant Eviction Defense

Focus: Tenant Rights & Eviction Defense Advocacy

Location: Remote Position, Office location addressed: 610 Newport Center Drive Suite 250, Newport Beach, CA 92660

About the Opportunity Tenant Eviction Defense is a growing IRS 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt Non-profit Public Charity Corporation dedicated to providing transparency and legal document assistance for tenants navigating California’s complex housing laws. We are seeking a California-barred attorney to join our Board of Directors as an Editorial Director.

This is a non-compensated, volunteer leadership role designed for an emerging advocate or solo practitioner looking to establish their brand, gain non-profit leadership experience, and grow their digital authority.

    Why Join Our Board?

    • Enhanced Professional Authority: We feature your professional bio, headshot, and a direct link to your LinkedIn/firm website in our "Leadership" section to boost your SEO and "E-E-A-T" (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) online.
    • Dedicated Professional Email: You will be provided with a custom organizational email address (yourname@tenantevictiondefense.org) for all board-related correspondence and professional networking.
    • Thought Leadership: You will receive full author credit for legal-educational articles written by volunteers, edited by you, and published on our website, positioning you as a trusted expert in your field.
    • Referral Network: While this is a volunteer role, you will be our primary contact for clients seeking private, paid representation for matters beyond the scope of our non-profit program.
    • CV Growth: Gain the prestigious "Editorial Director, Member of the Board of Directors" title for your resume and legal portfolio.

    Role & Responsibilities:

    • Transparency Oversight: Review the organization’s informational articles to ensure that they are accurate, mission-aligned, and accessible.
    • Board Participation: Attend quarterly remote board meetings.
    • Ad Grant Compliance: Assist in a one-time secure identity verification for our Google Ad Grant—a 2-minute "digital handshake" via Google’s secure portal to verify Executive Board Membership with our organization.

    Qualifications:

    • Active membership in the State Bar of California (Good Standing).
    • Strong interest in building a personal professional brand alongside a growing non-profit.

To Apply: Please reply with a brief introduction. We look forward to discussing how we can grow together.
