    Description

    The HR Training Specialist Intern participates in a structured, hands-on learning experience focused on instructional creation and the delivery of educational content. This role provides exposure to training material development, facilitation techniques, and knowledge retention assessments within a supervised and guided environment. Participants may engage at different levels within this role based on the program’s tiered structure (Foundational, Intermediate, Advanced), depending on prior experience, engagement, and program needs.

    Learning Focus Areas

    Participants in this role will gain exposure to:

    • Adult learning theories and instructional design concepts
    • Presentation, facilitation, and virtual classroom engagement styles
    • Evaluation methodologies (e.g., surveys, tests) to gauge training impact
    • Multimedia formatting for training decks, guides, and manuals

    Program Activities

    Participants may engage in:

    • Supporting the creation of educational slides, guides, and resource decks
    • Assisting with the preparation and delivery of virtual workshop tracks
    • Participating in training audits to find programmatic knowledge gaps
    • Collaborating with team members on structured tasks
    • Communicating questions, observations, or feedback to program leadership

    Note: All activities are conducted within a supervised and guided learning environment.

    Qualifications

    Education / Background

    Candidates may include:

    • Students currently enrolled in Human Resources, Communications, or Education programs
    • Recent graduates seeking to build a public speaking or training portfolio
    • Early-career professionals exploring corporate education
    • Individuals seeking to gain experience in a new functional area

    Skills & Abilities

    • Strong communication and verbal delivery skills
    • Organizational and problem-solving abilities
    • Attention to detail
    • Familiarity with relevant tools (Google Workspace, Zoom, Canva, etc.)
