Born with almost no control over how or with whom they live their lives, women and girls in Rajasthan, India are finding ways to leap over barriers based on class, caste, and gender through the programs of the grassroots Indian organization Sambhali Trust. Our team at Sambhali U.S. (headquartered in Takoma Park, MD) is proud to support their efforts.
Sambhali U.S. tells the stories of the women and girls in Sambhali’s programs, raises funds for programs run by Sambhali Trust, and provides technical support. We fund programs focused on empowerment, education, vocational training, health, and gender-based violence. Sambhali U.S., a 501(c)(3) organization with an operating budget of less than $150,000, is completely volunteer run.
Job Description
We are seeking an Accountant to do a Compilation of the Sambhali U.S. yearly financials.
The compiled financial statements must be prepared by a licensed Certified Public Accountant in accordance with the Statements on Standards for Accounting and Review Services issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant.
Active CPA license required. Experience in nonprofit accounting or familiarity with GAAP for nonprofits preferred.
