Volunteers Needed for FUN VYT Performing Arts Classes!

Valley Youth Theatre is in need of AMAZING Volunteers!

If you are interested in gaining experience working with children, we are in need of volunteers to assist with our fall 2026 session of performing arts classes, beginning on September 16th. Class volunteers/interns assist our Teaching Artists while interacting with our students, helping to build their self-esteem and establish a positive environment, and gaining valuable experience in teaching the performing arts.

We are happy to design a volunteer experience that utilizes your skillset, works with your schedule and allows you to obtain the experience and hours that you need! Classes take place once a week for eight weeks.

Please note, we are immediately seeking volunteers for any of the class dates/times below:

MUSICAL THEATRE FOR TEENS (ages 12+)

This fun and energetic class for teens will set the stage for them to express themselves creatively, grow as an ensemble, teach the foundations of musical theatre (vocal performance, dance, and acting), and prepare students in the art of the musical theatre audition. This class will culminate in an "audition style" performance and/or group number showcasing each student’s unique growth and personal musical style.

Thursdays, 6:15 PM - 7:45 PM| September 17 - November 5 |

Musical Theatre (ages 9-12)

Polish your skills in acting, singing and dance on an intermediate level! This class is the next steppingstone in our musical theatre program. Students will explore ensemble and solo singing, choreography, staging a scene and character creation over the course of eight weeks. Our teaching artists will sequence each class to help young people work together as an ensemble, as they build and rehearse their own musical review.
