    Job Title: Associate Director – Cybersecurity Department

    Location: Remote

    Department: Cybersecurity

    Reports To: Cybersecurity Department Director

    Type: Internship (Part-Time) (Unpaid)

    Duration: 6 Months

    The Associate Director of Cybersecurity will assist in overseeing cybersecurity initiatives, team coordination, risk management, and information security compliance within the organization. The role involves supervising cybersecurity projects, supporting department operations, mentoring team members, and ensuring adherence to security best practices.

    The Associate Director will report directly to the Director of Information Technology and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance organizational cybersecurity awareness and infrastructure protection.

    Job Description

    Assist the Director of Cybersecurity in managing cybersecurity operations and initiatives.

    • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and supervision of cybersecurity interns and team members.
    • Monitor and help protect company systems, applications, and networks from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
    • Assist with implementing organization-wide cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk evaluations.
    • Support ethical hacking, penetration testing, and security monitoring activities.
    • Coordinate incident response efforts and assist in resolving cybersecurity-related issues.
    • Promote cybersecurity awareness and provide guidance on secure practices across departments.
    • Collaborate with IT and other departments to improve system security and compliance.
    • Assist in maintaining documentation related to cybersecurity procedures and protocols.
    • Participate in weekly remote meetings and contribute to departmental planning and strategy discussions.

    Requirements

    • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or graduate program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
    • Experience in CSS, JavaScript, HTML, and other related softwares
    • Experience with remote production software
    • Completed coursework in Deep Learning, Machine Learning, or similar topics
    • Hands-on experience with fine-tuning models using the HuggingFace framework
    • Proficiency in utilizing Sci-Kit Learn and Matplotlib for a complete Machine Learning pipeline
    • Familiarity with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or Tensorflow/Keras
    • Prior experience deploying ML models to cloud platforms
    • Hands-on experience with AWS services
    • Able to work independently
    • Able to work on a team and attend remote weekly meetings
    • Reliable, punctual, and paysattention to details
    • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as a team
    • Can attend weekly remote meetings
    • Have an eagerness to learn and improve critical skills
    • Good problem-solving skills
    • Objective learning
