    Description

    Sante Imanite is a faith-based nonprofit organization committed to humanitarian relief, preventive health, mental wellness, education, and community development. As we continue to grow, we are seeking dedicated leaders to help build a strong, accountable Board of Directors that supports our mission.

    The Volunteer Board Compliance Officer plays a key role in strengthening board accountability and governance. This individual will help ensure board members remain actively engaged, fulfill their responsibilities, and contribute meaningfully to the organization’s success.

    By supporting board effectiveness, this role enables the CEO to focus on organizational growth, volunteer recruitment, strategic partnerships, fundraising, and program development.

    Responsibilities

    • Monitor board member attendance, engagement, and participation.
    • Conduct regular check-ins with board members regarding assigned responsibilities and committee work.
    • Track completion of board action items and organizational commitments.
    • Maintain records related to board participation and governance.
    • Help ensure compliance with board policies, bylaws, and governance expectations.
    • Prepare periodic reports on board engagement and accountability.
    • Recommend strategies to improve board participation and effectiveness.
    • Work collaboratively with the CEO and Board Chair to strengthen board performance.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
    • Interest or experience in nonprofit governance, compliance, administration, law, or organizational leadership.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
    • Self-motivated with excellent follow-through.
