    Description

The Operations Manager (Volunteer) plays a key role in strengthening WSUA’s internal systems, documentation, and day‑to‑day coordination. This is a long‑term volunteer leadership role designed for someone who enjoys building structure, improving workflows, and helping a mission‑driven organization run smoothly.

The role supports the Executive Director and collaborates with board officers, volunteers, and program leads. It is not a staff position and does not involve executive authority, but it is central to WSUA’s operational backbone.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain and improve internal organizational systems, shared drives, and documentation.
    • Track tasks, deadlines, and project milestones across programs and initiatives.
    • Support preparation of board materials, reports, and organizational updates.
    • Coordinate volunteer onboarding, communication, and scheduling.
    • Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, and workflow guides.
    • Assist with meeting logistics, calendars, and follow‑up actions.
    • Strengthen internal processes as WSUA grows, including compliance‑related documentation.
    • Provide consistent administrative support to the Executive Director.

    Qualifications

    • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
    • Clear written communication and attention to detail.
    • Comfort with digital tools such as Google Workspace, shared drives, and project trackers.
    • Ability to manage multiple small tasks and maintain orderly systems.
    • Reliability, discretion, and a collaborative mindset.
    • Experience in nonprofit operations, project management, or administration is helpful but not required.

    Eligibility Requirement

Because this role involves U.S. nonprofit compliance support and coordination with U.S.‑based leadership, applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.

    Time Commitment

    • 3-5 hours per week, with flexibility.
    • Virtual meetings as needed.
