Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Executive Board of Directors at Al-Ihsan Canadian Islamic University Admissions, located in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, with some work from anywhere acceptable. The Executive Board of Directors will be responsible for overseeing the university's strategic direction, ensuring effective governance, and upholding the institution's mission and values. Day-to-day tasks include attending board meetings, participating in committees, providing guidance on policy decisions, reviewing financial performance, and supporting fundraising efforts.
Qualifications
- Leadership, governance, and strategic planning skills
- Experience in educational administration and policy development
- Financial acumen and proficiency in budgeting and financial oversight
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ethical standards and commitment to the university's mission
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently as required
- Experience in the higher education sector or non-profit organizations is a plus
- Relevant advanced degrees or professional qualifications such as PhD in Islamic Studies or Fiqh or Aqidah .
