    Description

Academic Mentors Project - seeking hair stylist to work with student

The Academic Mentors Project connects high-achieving students with volunteer mentors who can offer guidance and real-world insight into career paths they are excited to explore.

We are currently seeking a hair stylist to mentor an ambitious and motivated 9th-grade student who is interested in pursuing a career in cosmetology.

Mentors typically spend about six hours total with their student, spread across three to six sessions, in addition to an initial introductory meeting. Families provide all transportation, and scheduling is very flexible. Ideally, we are looking for a mentor who would be available to provide this opportunity either during the current school year (now through May 2026) or in fall 2026.

Mentorship meetings must take place in a public setting, ideally in a salon environment. ✂️

    Location

    On-site
    Denver, CO, USA
    Directions

Meetings would take place at the mentor's salon.
