    About Quest2Freedom, Inc.

    Quest2Freedom is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to addressing human trafficking through education, cultural awareness, strategic advocacy, and survivor-centered emergency transitional services. 

    Board Member Role Overview

    Board members serve in a voluntary governance capacity and are responsible for advancing the mission, ensuring legal and ethical integrity, and stewarding organizational resources. This is not a paid position, and board members are expected to uphold fiduciary duties of care, loyalty, and obedience.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Governance & Oversight - Provide strategic direction, approve budgets, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
    • Board Participation - Attend and actively contribute to regular board meetings, committee work, and strategic planning sessions.
    • Advocacy for Victims -Support initiatives that provide emergency transitional services (e.g., hotel stays, transportation) for survivors of trafficking.
    • Training & Education - Assist in the development and delivery of culturally informed training programs on human trafficking.
    • Strategic Partnerships - Help identify and cultivate relationships with nonprofits, businesses, and government agencies to expand our reach.
    • Fundraising & Resource Development - Participate in fundraising efforts, donor engagement, and resource mobilization to sustain and grow our programs.
    • Compliance & Ethics - Adhere to Quest2Freedom, Inc.’s bylaws, conflict of interest policy, and annual disclosure requirements.

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated commitment to ending human trafficking and supporting survivors.
    • Experience in nonprofit governance, social work, law, education, public policy, or related fields.
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to dedicate approximately a minimum 5-10 hours per month to board duties.
    • Willingness to serve a two-year term, renewable once, per board policy.
    • Commitment to Quest2Freedom, Inc.’s mission, values, and strategic goals.
