The Intake Coordinator plays a vital role in helping Silicon Valley Pet Project identify dogs and cats in need of rescue and placement into foster care. This position focuses on reviewing animals from local shelters and the community, assessing them against SVPP’s intake guidelines, and prioritizing candidates with strong adoption potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor local shelters and community inquiries for potential rescue candidates
- Evaluate animals based on SVPP intake criteria, including health, behavior, and adoptability
- Collaborate with the SVPP team to prioritize and coordinate intake decisions
- Help ensure a diverse mix of breeds, ages, and needs across both dogs and cats
Time Commitment:
- Approximately 10 hours per week, with flexibility depending on intake needs
