    Description

School Group Guides assist in the running of our school programs. Guides will chose one or two different stations to learn and then present this information to visiting school students. Topics for our stations include artificers (craftsmen who made goods for the army), colonial medicine, camp followers (more specifically the women and children who accompanies both armies), soldier's kit, and tours of our museum and historic homes. Most of our school groups are 4th and 5th graders. We ask volunteers to try to make themselves available at least one day a week in the spring and fall. Applicants will be required to complete legally mandated background checks.
