NMDP Stem Cell Registry Drive – Monterey Peninsula Pride Festival on June 27
Details
Description
NMDP saves lives through cellular therapy! At NMDP, we believe each of us holds the key to curing blood cancers and other blood disorders.
When volunteering with NMDP at the Monterey Peninsula Pride Festival, you'll add new members to the blood stem cell donor registry while also educating people about the power of the registry and the urgent need for more donors. You have the opportunity to make a real impact for patients and their families — saving lives one swab at a time!
- **What You'll Do:**
- Greet and engage festival attendees at the registration drive
- Walk potential donors through the registration process
- Collect cheek swab samples from new registry members
- Educate attendees about stem cell donation and NMDP's mission
- *What We're Looking For:**
- Enthusiasm for NMDP's lifesaving mission
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to commit to at least one 2-hour shift
- No prior experience necessary — training will be provided
- **Age Requirements:**
- Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older
- **⚠️ Important – Pre-Registration Required:**
All volunteers must register in advance at:
👉 volunteer.nmdp.org/registration
Please complete your registration before the day of the drive. Sign up for as many shifts as you are available, and recruit your friends to join too! Thank you for your willingness to contribute to this lifesaving mission.
