The Walk for Kidneys is a family-friendly 1-mile or 3-mile walk and celebration for supporters of the NKFI. It raises over $280,000 each year in support of research, public education, and patient services. There will be food, activities for children, a health screening, and more! Check out our website for additional information.
This year's Walk will take place on June 7th from 9am-1pm. We will be setting up on June 6th during the day setting up tents and the Walk space.
We need dedicated and passionate volunteers to ensure that everyone has a fun, safe Walk!
This year's walk offers a variety of volunteer opportunities. We will work with each volunteer based on their schedule and preferences to place them at each volunteer position.
- Set-up (unload U-haul, set-up materials at tents, put up signage, ect.)
- Registration (checking walkers in using tablets, processing last-minute donations, handing out t-shirts, giving directions)
- Food and Beverage tent (setting up the food and beverages in the tent, maintaining cleanliness, passing out snacks and water
- Route (marshaling, making sure walkers know where they are going, collecting route signs afterward)
- Clean up
Each volunteer will receive a NKFI Volunteer shirt, coffee/snacks morning of, and the gratitude of the staff!
