Let's Feed NY is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit building permanent food access infrastructure across New York City and Long Island. We partner with Island Harvest, City Harvest, and Amazon to serve hundreds of families through weekly food distributions and at-home grocery deliveries.
We need 1-2 Grants & Funding Research Associates to build and manage our funding pipeline. You will find grant opportunities, research funders, draft applications, and help position LFNY for institutional capital. This is not busywork — you are directly responsible for bringing money into the organization.
What you'll do: Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, government programs, and corporate giving. Track deadlines, eligibility requirements, and application status across all active grants. Draft grant narratives, budgets, and supporting documents in coordination with the founder. Research CDFIs, impact investors, and mission-aligned capital partners. Build and maintain a live funding pipeline tracker. Monitor new RFPs and funding announcements relevant to food security, community development, and nonprofit infrastructure.
Who you are: Strong researcher and writer. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision. Interest in nonprofit finance, philanthropy, or social impact. Experience with grant writing is a plus but not required — we will train the right person. College student or recent grad in nonprofit management, public policy, social work, finance, or related field is ideal.
Commitment: Ongoing, 8-12 hours per week. Fully remote — work on your own schedule.
What you get: Direct grant writing and nonprofit fundraising experience. Your name on submitted applications. Official title and letter of recommendation. Work directly with the founder on real funding strategy. First consideration for paid Fundraising role as we scale.
Thank you for your interest in the Grants & Funding Research Associate role at Let's Feed NY. Once you submit your interest, our founder will reach out within 48 hours to schedule a brief introductory call. Please be prepared to discuss your research and writing experience, your availability, and your interest in nonprofit funding. If you have a writing sample, feel free to include a link or attachment. This is an ongoing commitment of 8-12 hours per week — please only apply if you can commit consistently.
